What is an Exemplar Vehicle Point Cloud?

An exemplar point cloud is a compilation of millions of measurements of a vehicle in original, undamaged condition.

Each model is captured with a calibrated Leica RTC360 scanner (±1.9 mm) and processed to deliver clean, accurate geometry you can rely on for crush, video, simulation, bio, exhibits, etc. Watch the video below to see exactly what’s included in each package, or download a sample point cloud to explore it in your own software.

Features of our Point Clouds

  • Each vehicle is scanned with a calibrated Leica RTC360 (±1.9 mm), with full interior and exterior coverage.

  • Point clouds contain roughly 40–50 million points per vehicle, capturing true vehicle geometry in high detail.

  • Data is meticulously cleaned to remove background and stray points, giving you a model that’s ready for analysis and exhibits.

  • Every package includes a registration report and current calibration certificate for the scanner.

  • Files are delivered in a universal .pts format, so you can drop them straight into recon and CAD software packages.
