Want to add a little magic to your test or drive-through videos? Overlaying speed, acceleration, and GPS data makes a big impact and streamlines the analysis.
What was the lateral acceleration at the apex? How fast was the test vehicle going when it contacted the pedestrian? How fast were you going during your drive-through of the collision site? These are all easier to answer with data-synced videos, which also make for beautiful demonstratives.
Telemetry’s Overlay tool is a well-oiled machine capable of integrating data, from almost any source, with video. If you’re a GoPro user, it’s easy as apple pie. Mount the camera to vehicle, capture some video (ensure GPS is enabled), drop the file into Telemetry Overlay, and it’ll automatically sync and overlay some key data.
The interface is intuitive and flexible. It’s easy to add, remove, and modify gages. You can also import and sync data from Garmin, VBOX, DJI, Tesla, AiM, RaceBox, Harry’s, Dynojet, etc. Here’s a cool crash test conducted by Greg Russell showing the tool in action.
Solid data + compelling exhibits illuminate the facts.
Thanks for reading, keep exploring!
