I recently had the honor of interviewing recon and video specialist Mark Crouch for a podcast (that'll be released shortly after WREX). While prepping for the talk, I found he's the Chairman-elect of The Institute of Traffic Accident Investigators (ITAI), which prompted me to learn a bit more about the group.

A group worth joining

Us recons are a bit provincial. While I've known of ITAI's reputation for years, as an American, I never considered joining...seeing myself as an outsider. However, recons from The States are welcome to join the UK-based group and they've got great resources including access to past/present issues of Impact, publications associated with their International Conferences dating back to 1993, free webinars, and more. The Affiliate membership, open to anyone having an interest in Traffic Accident Investigation, is only about $50 per year.

I've been enthusiastically perusing all the newfound publications and coincidentally received an email from ITAI this morning notifying me of a course offered by the famous Jeff Muttart (local and remote).
