I'm excited to finally announce what we've been working on at Lightpoint the past several months! As you might have noticed, we expected to launch this a couple weeks back, but it’s a big project with lots of moving parts and sticks get stuck in spokes.

Data we're hoping to save

Have you ever been excited on a new-case-call because the involved vehicles have EDRs, only to find both vehicles have already been salvaged and the data is gone? Poof. Gone like Keyser Söze. We’re working hard to fix that problem. Stage one, launching exclusively to this list right now, is an ACM recovery service.

We’ve partnered with the Nation’s largest auto recycler to track down ACMs throughout the country. The inquiry service will be free, so you’ll only pay if we find the module. If we do, we’ll send the ACM to your facility with accompanying documentation.

If you have any VINs you’d like to check, you can do so here.

Stage two of the project should be rolling out before long and will do even more to prevent data from being lost to salvage. Save the data!

Thanks for reading along, I hope you have a great weekend.

P.S. I hope to see some of you at WREX! I’ll be giving a keynote (The Future of Recon: Data Driven) and presenting a breakout session (Methods for Establishing Motorcycle Impact Speed). Lightpoint will also have a booth, so you can find me or Sam there too.
