All hail data! As you may know, I'm a data junkie...so stuff like this blows my hair back.

Event data I'm seeing for the first time

Not only do we get traditional EDR info from Tesla, but now we get VDRs (Vehicle Data Reports) from Tesla. If you haven't seen such data, a Reddit user recently posted some snippets of what Tesla provided in response to their request after a t-boning.

Of note, the owner was provided with video of the incident, vehicle speed, master cylinder pressure, steering angle, steering torque, and myriad other data. Very cool. If possible, ensure the owner of any crash you're investigating requests all available data from Tesla here.

Have a great weekend!

P.S. Stay tuned for some HUGE and exciting news next week that will hopefully change how all us private recons, who are often hired well after the crash, operate!
